Title: Nuclear physics to the rescue of neutrino physics: electron scattering vs neutrino scattering

Abstract: In this talk I will give a brief description of what are the effect of nuclear model and neutrino-nucleus cross-sections on neutrino oscillation experiments. Nuclear physics have used for very long time electron scattering data to build self consistent nuclear model and validate such models using electron scattering data. A new experiment (the e-Ar experiment or E12-14-012) was approved at Jefferson lab in 2014 and collected (e,e’) and (e, e’p) data on 2017 on an argon and titanium targets with the goals of providing an high accuracy data set to the neutrino and nuclear community. The JLAB E12-14-012 experiment data will help building a consistent nuclear model able to describe neutrino interactions in the full kinematic regime important for current and future neutrino oscillation experiments. I will present inclusive electron scattering results on a variety of nuclear targets including argon and titanium.
