Total Lunar Eclipse May 2022

The University of Alabama Department of Physics and Astronomy invites you to come watch the upcoming Total Lunar Eclipse with us using the 16″ telescope on the roof of Gallalee Hall! The event is free and open to the public.
Partial eclipse begins at 9:29 pm, totality lasts from 10:29-11:59. Doors will open at 9 pm.

Note that observing events are dependent on the weather – please look up before coming to see if it is overcast.
Also access to the Gallalee Hall parking lot from University avenue is under construction, please follow the map below to loop around and enter the parking lot from the North.
