Below is a mapping of the location of 2740 Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) over the entire sky. Their intenisty is color-coded with the red being the most powerful known GRBs. All GRBs are intense sources of gamma rays that last only a fraction of a second. What distribution do they have. What does it say about whether they originate from within our galaxy or from much farther away?
