Lab Rules
The purpose of this lab is to expose you to the way scientists learn about the universe. In this way, the lab complements AY 101. However, AY 102 is a class in itself with its own rules and procedures:
- Safety rules are printed on the first page of your lab text.
- Read the exercise before coming to lab.
- Treat your instructor, lab colleagues, and the equipment with care and respect.
- “Ask 3 before me.” Once the class begins a lab, ask your lab partners first before asking the TA. If this fails after 3 people, then you may ask the instructor. This keeps the TA’s mental health by not having to repeat the same instructions 25 times an hour.
